Here is a little information about Overstrand.

Overstrand is a small coastal village with wide sandy beaches, in a area noted for its natural beauty. The cottage is situated on the outskirts of the village, about one-third of a mile from the centre. In the village there is a village store, Post Office with cash machine, cliff top café, garden centre, children's play area, village bowls & cricket green, public house and hotel & restaurant. The nearest town is Cromer (about 3 miles), which has all the amenities of a popular seaside resort.

Things to do...

There are miles of golden sandy beaches with beautiful sunrises & sunsets. There are some great cliff walks and it is a bird watchers & walkers paradise with various trails around. There is an 18-hole golf course at Royal Cromer on the cliffs between the village and Cromer; riding stables in a nearby village; 12 grass and 12 all-weather tennis courts and 2 squash courts at the Cromer Tennis Club. Pitch and putt golfing is a fun activity placed in Cromer, as well as some lovely shops and fun arcades. Cromer has its own small screened cinema (Regal-Merlins Cinema) and located at the end of Cromer Pier is its theatre. Amozona Zoo is an educational day out as well as a Seal Trip at Blakeney.

The Broads are only 20 minutes away by car; and the coastal nature reserves, sailing centres and other golf courses on the north norfork coast are within easy reach. A number of historic houses – Felbrigg, Blickling Hall and Holkham are nearby; and the beaches are well known hunting ground for fossil and semi-precious stones.
